What is a Micro Brewery?

A microbrewery is a small brewery with a limited production capacity which, produces labour intensive hand-crafted beers. These beers are often of a quality and style that larger breweries do not make. Because of its size a microbrewery can concentrate on the flavour and aroma of its beer. This allows it to produce a high quality hand-crafted product.

How is The Pump Room differnet from other microbreweries?

The Pump Room Brewery is located onsite at The Pump Room Clarke Quay. This alows the consumer to experience our beer at its freshest. All of The Pump Room’s beers are unfiltered, unpasturised, and have no added chemicals or flavours. Giving you the consumer a 100% natural, fresh, flavourful glass of beer everytime.

How is beer made?

Beer is made from four core ingredients; grain, hops, yeast and water. All of The Pump Room’s beers are made from only these four ingredients (nothing else is added). The brewing process has four main parts

Brewing (extracting sugar from grain and boiling water with hops)
Fermentation (adding yeast and converting sugar to alcohol)
Maturation (allowing the flavours in beer to fully develop)
Serving/packaging (getting the beer to the consumer)

Where does The Pump Room get its brewing ingredients from?

We import our ingredents from a number of countries including Australia, New Zealand, Germany and USA.

Where is The Pump Rooom Brewery from?

Hand crafted in Hamilton New Zealand by NDA. The Brewery consists of one 1,400 Litre brewing Kettle, (3) 3,000 Liter fermenters, and (8) 3,000 liter maturation tanks. The brewery is made of stainless steal and has a maximum production of 20,000 liters a month.

What are The Pump Room’s beer’s?

We have 4 resident handcrafted brews:

The Pump Room Lager - Golden, crisp, clean and easy drinking
Scottish Ale - Hardy, roasted malt characters with a slightly sweet finish
India Pale Ale - Copper coloured, strong hops aroma, malty flavour
Wheat Ale - Pure white head, cloudy body and full of character
 
We also have 2 guest beers from Archipelago
Straits Pale - Refreshingly citrusy, smooth body and tangy hops flavour
Samui - Light wheat ale, slightly sweet with hints of calamansi lime and pandan leaves

Where is The Pump Room?

Our Brewery is located in the Pump Room by the Centre Court fountain in the Foundry at Clarke Quay.

Operating hours @ Clarke Quay
12 Noon to 3am - Monday to Thursday. 12 Noon to 5am Fridays and Saturdays
11.30am to 3am - Sundays.

Meal hours - 12 Noon to 10pm.
Brunch - 11.30am to 2.30pm (Sundays).
Light Bites 12 Noon until 2am.
